Hello,
This is a life announcement email/ preview of a newsletter that is in the works!
I’m sending this to you because I’ve enjoyed our connection, work together, or I just plain love you. If you want to keep getting life updates/hear more about my work/recommendations and other musings a few times a year (Specifically only 4 times a year) then please subscribe below!
If you don’t want to get another email, you’ll just have to write me an actual letter, email me or call me and ask me what’s up because I am trying to slowly move away from using social media for interpersonal communications. I’m sure I’ll have more musings and reflections about my social media usage in the future. But for now please enjoy this ~Newsletter~ and I hope to hear from you soon!

SOLNOX
I’m calling this newsletter Solnox because I plan to send it on or around the Solstices & Equinoxes. Ever since moving to Mass., I’ve been in love with actually having all four seasons. I’ve been trying to intentionally celebrate and reflect on the Summer and Winter Solstices, and Pause and Prepare for the Fall and Spring Equinox. Sometimes this looks like a food/spirit cleanse, sometimes it looks like deep cleaning and re-arranging the entire house. But this year since I’m in the middle of a cross country move (and honestly a major life shifting moment) I instead cut off all my hair (and cried a lot about it.) A different kind of cleanse, but a release nonetheless.
Living up north has been terrifying, eye-opening, and also so incredibly beautiful and grounding for me. I’ve deeply enjoyed the land, the people, and the seasons. I learned that I actually needed each distinct season and cycle— from the crisp fresh spring reminding you of the tenderness of new life, to the warming full season of fall, harvesting the abundance of a waning year. I’ve even grown to enjoy winter, thankful for a collective time of slowing down and going within. While I’m sad to say goodbye to the land and many amazing people I met up here, and I also know my time in the valley was well spent.
Leaving at the Fall Equinox and Pisces full moon definitely makes for an emotional time, but I have a lot of projects in the works and exciting things that I’ll be more ready to share in the next newsletter. For now, I’ll keep it short-ish and say thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way, who has shown me something new, shown me a real, deep, and loving sense of what community can be. I’m v grateful to all the people I’ve met out here in so-called new england.
I’m Moving!
ANYWAYS, I’m moving to so-called Albuquerque, New Mexico, or Tiwa and Pueblo Territory. I’m so excited to be back in the southwest! My heart has been missing the desert mountains for too long.
If you’re in the area or know of people in the ABQ area that I should be connected please please please don’t hesitate to hit me up or connect us somehow! I’m excited to meet new folks and build my community out here.
Hire Me - I’m a Visual Scribe!
In case you didn’t know (and I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t because I’m terrible at telling people what I do/can do) but I do graphic design and visual scribing! Visual Scribing is a way for me to visually capture and document conversations and ideas to be used as real tangible artifacts. I’ve worked with various organizations, businesses, museums, and more to help capture the work being done in creative and more accessible ways! You can read more about it and see examples of my work on my website: lesliesaree.com.
I’ve been doing this work for almost 3 years now and it’s one of the most life-giving and rewarding things I’ve spent my time doing. If you or someone you know is interested in having this kind of thing done either for live event scribing or the creation of some graphic visuals or infographics for other uses I would be happy to chat! I’m currently offering consultation conversations to see if I’m the right match for the project or organization.
Let’s Talk!
In the meantime, I’m also exploring other work opportunities for the next year or so and if you have anything that you think I would be a good fit for, please don’t hesitate to send something my way. In my spare time, I do communications consulting work and am looking for part-time work in that realm as well.
